Rev. Karen Ann Campbell
The Rev. Karen Ann Campbell is the Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Sag Harbor, serving since 2012.
In 2018, Rev. Campbell was selected by the Bishop of Long Island, The Right Rev. Lawrence Provenzano to witness the plight of the refugees at the border between Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros, Mexico.
Rev. Campbell is in the process of spearheading a 'community cafe' feeding program backed by prestigious grants that provide one free meal a week to those in need. Also under her guidance, the church weekly provides food (some from the church's own garden!) to Maureen's Haven, an active homeless advocacy program.
Here's a 5 minute video of Rev. Campbell sharing her theology.
In her spare time, Karen serves on the board of The Sag Harbor Historical Society. Her husband of many years is Graham Campbell and they have three children and a wonderful golden retriever named Allistair. Karen enjoys gardening and playing with her dog and cat.
